Sweet Home: Alabama's History in Maps

In my role as Librarian I in the Southern History Department at Birmingham Public Library,
• Physical and digital exhibit curated by the Southern History Department, specifically to celebrate Alabama’s bicentennial in 2017.
• Built the digital exhibit utilizing Photoswipe and linked to CONTENTdm for viewing full-size images of the maps.
• Resized all images for physical printing of maps and descriptions and digital exhibit.
• Generated QR codes to link to the digital exhibit to provide a mobile tour of the physical exhibit.
• Jay Lamar, head of the Alabama Bicentennial Commission, called Sweet Home: Alabama's History in Maps, "one of the most exciting, beautiful, and stimulating exhibitions I have ever seen. People will discover things about Alabama that they never knew or imagined by experiencing these lovely, remarkable maps."
